Parent and Toddler Group
The group is held at Kayll Road Library Community Hub and is operated by Somia Salman. Sessions are for 6 to 48 month olds and can contain a maximum of 20 of both adults and children.
General Plan of the session
9:00-9:30 am:
- Risk assessment
- setting up the room
- bringing attendance sheet
- refreshment preparation including putting tables out, bringing kettle, cups, sugar, tea, coffee, water for children’s drink, extra water for tea and available snacks to the main hall.
- Setting up planed activity for the children in the toddler room including putting out paper, glue, colours, pens according to the activity.
- Making sure health and safety of everyone is undertaken.
9:30 -10:00 am: Free play and activity.
10:05- 10:30 am: Refreshment
10:30- 10:45 am: Rhyme Time
10:45: 10:55 am: Story Time
10:55- 11: 05 am: Bubble time
11:05- 11:20 am: Adults game time
11:20- 11:30 am: Tidy up time and finishing the session.
11:30-12:00 am: Cleaning and putting things back in toddler room, hoovering, taking all refreshment stuff back into the kitchen, washing dishes, changing the toilet bin bag etc.
